Roots & Resilience is a small-group outdoor wellness and enrichment program designed for children ages 9–12 who are curious, capable, and eager to explore the world beyond the traditional classroom.
Through nature-based learning, outdoor adventure, creative problem-solving, and meaningful social connection, participants develop confidence, resilience, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of themselves, their community, and the natural world.
Many children are meeting academic expectations while still seeking opportunities for greater challenge, deeper exploration, hands-on learning, creativity, and connection. Roots & Resilience provides a supportive environment where children can pursue their interests, ask questions, take healthy risks, and engage in meaningful learning experiences that complement their educational journey.
Each week, participants join a small group of peers for an afternoon of outdoor exploration, enrichment, and adventure. Activities are designed to foster curiosity, independence, teamwork, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Roots & Resilience welcomes children from a variety of educational backgrounds, including public school, independent school, and homeschooling families.

Because of the small-group nature of the program, participation is based on program fit, readiness for outdoor experiences, and group composition.

Roots & Resilience is designed as a consistent small-group experience where children build relationships, confidence, and skills over time. Because spaces are limited and fully funded through charitable support, families should be prepared to commit to regular attendance throughout the program year.

Brainflex Social Explorers is a 6-week small-group program designed to support children ages 6–9 in developing flexible thinking, emotional regulation, social awareness, and peer connection through movement, collaborative play, outdoor learning, and social thinking activities.
Using a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach, Brainflex Social Explorers helps children build confidence in navigating social situations, managing emotions, coping with change, and participating successfully in group settings. Activities are engaging, interactive, and tailored to support a variety of learning styles through movement, games, problem-solving challenges, and experiential learning.
Each 50-minute session includes opportunities for children to:
Practice flexible thinking and problem-solving
Develop emotional awareness and self-regulation skills
Build friendship and communication skills
Strengthen perspective-taking and social understanding
Participate in cooperative games and group challenges
Explore confidence and connection in a supportive environment
Program concepts are inspired by evidence-informed social thinking approaches, including flexible thinking, perspective-taking, emotional awareness, and collaborative problem-solving.

Wilderness Wisdom is a once-a-month outdoor program designed to help children build a love for nature while developing key social-emotional skills like teamwork, empathy, and self-awareness.
Each two-hour session takes place in a local natural setting — a forested park, riverside trail, or community green space — where children explore, play, and learn through guided adventure, creativity, and mindfulness.
Nature Exploration & Play: Cooperative games and creative challenges that inspire curiosity and teamwork.
Mindfulness Moments: Gentle breathing, grounding, or sensory awareness activities that help kids feel calm and centered.
Creative Expression: Nature art, storytelling, and reflection activities that build emotional awareness and confidence.
Group Connection: Each session ends with a gratitude circle, encouraging children to reflect on what they learned and how they felt outdoors.
Every gathering follows a unique theme connecting nature to personal growth, such as:
Courage, Gratitude, Friendship, Calm, Resilience, and Belonging.
Children ages 6–11 who love to move, explore, and connect with others in a supportive outdoor environment.
Runs once per month — 2-hour sessions in all seasons.

Strong Inside Out is a whole-class, movement-based program that supports students in building confidence, body respect, teamwork, and kindness through cooperative play and physical activity.
The program integrates social-emotional learning into Physical Education in a way that is inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.

A Lunch-Time Basketball Program for Grade 3 Students
HOOPS is a fun and inclusive lunchtime basketball program designed to support Grade 3 students in building confidence, teamwork, friendship, and resilience through play.
This program focuses on participation, encouragement, and personal growth, helping students feel connected, supported, and confident—both on and off the court.
